Can you pretend?
This was the question in my mind. Yes. Unless you already KNOW how it will go. (Hint…that’s trust)
As you work on your own intuition, your self-trust muscle is strong. How does that look?
I’ll get personal. My own son is an empath. He doesn’t, or hasn’t for a while now, talk much. His father wasn’t an empath. He would just say something.
An empath, filters before they talk.
Empaths will often go long periods before saying something. What I mean is they will avoid it. They may chat, but not on the topic/subject that they really want or need to talk about.
Why?
Empaths will feel into other people’s responses. Even before it happens. So they often stay quiet.
If you are a talkative empath? Or even if you aren’t, I’d challenge you to get a piece of paper and pen out. You will need to be very grounded, so eat. Then write down all the ‘not said’ things. All the sometimes in your head things.
If your list is long… do this:
- Make a brave list.
- Start working your way through. You HAVE to say it.
What happens to empaths (or sensitive people) when they don’t approach a subject?
- They either don’t make peace with it, or
- They don’t comprehend the actual meaning
How does that impact the empath? (sensitive person)
- They withdraw. From society. From people. From inner work they need to do.
- They don’t forgive themselves (this can lead to physical pain)
- They can also not want to progress.
So how can empath lead the charge in the family? Or from my point of view, how as an empath, can I help my empath son?
You get BRAVE! You start the conversation on your ‘un-said’ list. You know it will be ok. That’s the trust.
