How to speak to past over loved ones (mediumship)

Has a loved one, partner, child, pet, spouse or grandparent recently died? I’m so sorry for your loss.

Would you like to communicate with them? How do you do this?

From a psychic medium point of view, here are my biggest tips. For each person it may come slightly differently.

When I was first visited from a past over relative I was only 4. This was my deceased great grandfather. His presence wasn’t unusual, it felt ok. This was the start.

Today, I help people who have a loved one in spirit. Together we can communicate. Me being a medium (an intermediary relaying communication) and them holding the energy.

If you would like to communicate to past over loved ones yourself, here are some strategies.

  1. Be by yourself. Having learned the hard way, it is best to only be in your own presence. This allows time for other people’s energy to come off you. Meaning particularly if you are an empath, you can come back more to just your own energy.
  2. Ask them to come. You will need to call on them. This is a vital step. If you are waiting for them first, and it is more you that wants to communicate, you may be waiting a while.
  3. Next ask them one simple question. This is your chance to practice. Ask a yes / no question. Or seek a sign.
  4. Then once you have that answer. Begin with your own questions.
  5. Some people may benefit from a meal just prior to communication.
  6. Other people will need to be fully hydrated with water.
  7. Some other people may be ok without food. Mostly if you are already peaceful about the passing.
  8. Emotions can surface. Allow it.
  9. After you communicate, sit with it. Allow just the answers to come through your body. This will heal you.

Mediumship is a straight forward skill, however be aware that delivering for others can bring up emotions. Both the medium and the person on the other side is likely to bring into the equation lots of old memories for the person asking questions.

Go slow. If you want to just do one question, do it. You can always hold another communication with your passed over loved one another day.
