Joy to one person may be different to another. The essence of how our body feels is the clear sign. You may feel a tingle, or a heart warmth. What is joy for you? How does your body react? This blog will read clearer for you if you can feel into this.
For years I was the over thinker, the perfectionist. The hardest part of my healing journey has been learning to let go. Letting go of many of my old habits, also known as ways of being. For how I have been for most of my life, was who I thought I was.
Learning I didn’t need to be that person, has been a revolution. Freedom. What if you too can change from the person you were essentially programmed to be by parents/school/friends etc and re wire your mind to be who you really are?
From an early age many of us are shown ways to act. Role modelling is the best form of learning. But what if someone is acting from a wounded place? Then the children also learns what to do from an inherited wounded place. Read more about ancestral healing here.
Parents also show us how to act when they are in joy. So if you were e.g. embarrassed by their behaviour, it can create a backwards belief. To a perfectionist, an over thinker, how can someone doing not things that are perfect be a good thing? See how our minds can complicate what could be just fun?
Or if our parents were not nice to us, because they wanted some time to relax. Seeing parents want to relax but can’t. Stress plays an important role as we grow. For it tells our nervous system how we are. If our parents want to tell us no when we are at a party. All of these moments can bring a deep sense of confusion in our mind.
